Stampin' Up!'s Colour Revamp!

COLOR-REVAMP_DEMO_HEADER_UKSP

Hi Everyone,

So you may have heard, or you read on my last blog post/facebook/instagram updates, that Stampin' Up! will be revamping the colour families in the new 2018-2019 Idea Book and Catalogue.

The BRAND NEW colours are:

new-colors-2

Making the BRAND NEW colour families:

color-collections

The BRAND NEW In Colors and the 2017-2019 are:

in-colors
Pretty sure my room as a teenager was Pineapple Punch! I think it looked great against all my white furniture, however my Mum didn't agree and Dad never really commented on it, only that it was very bright... And it was repainted very quickly when I moved into my own place :)

And this means these are the RETIRING Colours:

The other thing is that the physical shape of the stamp pad is going to change...The new ink pads will be easier to open/close, have a tighter fitting lid, have a reformulated ink inside (meaning less bubbles on the ink pad), they will be stackable, and have new and improved labels (including one for the inside so we know what colour inks we are working with!!)

I'm excited about the new changes ahead, and whilst I am sad to see some items go, and some colours retiring (like Dapper Denim!), I do think it's good to refresh things every now again! After all, we all like some new clothes or items around the house every now and again right?!

If you do want to stock up on the retiring colours, I suggest you order sooner rather than later, as I know in previous years, retiring items can and do sell out!

Any queries, please contact me.

Perth OnStage April 2018

Hi Everyone,

I've been a bit quiet again, I know, don't worry I haven't forgotten about blogging.... It's just that my day job has changed and I've been super busy getting ready for it and learning lots of new stuff!!

Anyway, what I've jumped online to share with you tonight is some of the excitement from the Perth OnStage event last Saturday. OnStage is the Stampin' Up! biannual convention and here in Perth, it meant over 200 excited demonstrators under 1 roof for the day!

The perks of attending OnStage are awesome and there was no way I was going miss it especially being in my home town! Throughout the day we received sneak peeks at new products, watched both live and recorded presentations from some Stampin' Up! team and other Aussie demos!

Our gifts for attending!

Possibly best of all is seeing the new catalogue! There is always so much excitement in the room when the soon to be released Idea Book and Catalogue is released! And let me drop a major hint, there's some a-may-zing stuff in there! So many new products!!

The NEW 2018-19 Idea Book and Catalogue

My Light Box all set up tonight!
These are the swaps I received on the day:

And this was my swap:

There's also a colour revamp! Stampin' Up! think long and hard about changing the core colour families and this year we'll see 13 colours retire and 10 new colours released! There's also 5 returning colours from the In Color families from the past couple of years. But, that's a whole other blog post later this week!

WA Demo Retreat Day

No automatic alt text available.

Hi Everyone,

A couple of weekends ago, I had the pleasure of attending a WA Demo Retreat Day arranged by 2 lovely WA demos Kelly Kent & Nicole Wilson... And today we get to share the cards that we provided as our kit for 12 other lucky demos to make via this blog hop!! So if you are already hopping you would have come from Siobhan's blog, so welcome and if you are just starting here, there's 7 other blogs to have a look at.

There was about 30 demos who attended and the day was arranged that we each were able to make 12 different cards! It was great fun seeing all the different cards and getting to try some new techniques or layouts!

I'm excited to share a stepped up version of a class card I made earlier this month... Remember this card?

Well, here is the stepped up version:

Can you spot the changes? A different sentiment, an extra layer  of cardstock and a white card base & a different flower centre (I popped both the gold and clear faceted gems in my tub), but it's always amazing how little changes can make a big difference!

It was such a fantastic day and simply awesome to catch up with familiar faces and meet some new demo friends on the day.... Massive, massive thanks to Kelly and Nicole for arranging the day! I know I and many others are looking forward to doing it again!

To continue on the hop, please hop on over to Denise's blog next....

A special birthday present!

Hi Everyone,

We had the pleasure of attending one of my friends daughters' 1st birthday party last weekend and I decided to make her something special!

This is what I designed! I'm pretty proud of this creation!! It's the first time I've done a shadow box like this and, honestly, I would love to do some more! Mmmm, better check the calendar and see what else is coming up!!

Now there's always off cuts or pieces that I don't use on the initial project, so I used some of these pieces to make a quick and simple coordinating card:

Please leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my shadow box :)

Monthly Card Making Class - Part 2

Hi Everyone,

As promised, I'm back this week to share the other cards we made at my class on Friday night. These ones were quite simple and fast to make but we did some stamping on vellum and it was interesting to see the different effect it had on our cards.

Card 1 of this design

Card 2 of the same design but with a banner layer added - love the banner punch!

Just swapping the sentiment and layers about a little

And again, just a couple of changes

I hold my monthly classes at my house in Perth, Western Australia. If you are interested in attending, please email me.
